lesson 23~ Jesus heals the sick & delived those with of unclean spirits

Mark 1:23-33/Luke 4:33-41

While Jesus was in the synagogue a man with an unclean spirit ask Jesus to leave them alone for they knew that he was the holy one of God. Jesus told the unclean spirit to keep silent & then he told the unclean spirit to leave the man. Those who saw this was amazed that Jesus had authority over unclean spirits.

Later, Jesus went to Simon's home and found that Simon's mother-in-law was sick. Jesus healed her & she got up and ministered to their  needs.

As the sun was setting, all those in the area who was sick with many different illnesses came to Jesus and he healed them. Also those who had unclean spirits came to Jesus and he  delivered them from those spirits.

Lesson 22~ Jesus calls four of his disciples

Mat. 4:18-22/Mark 1:16-20/Luke 5:8-11

 Jesus was walking by the sea of Galilee. He saw two ships sitting by the shore. He entered on e of the ships and asked the fishermen to take him a little out from the shore so he could teach the people. They took him and he taught the people. Afterwards, he told Simon Peter to go out a little further and put down the nets. When he did so, they caught so many fish that it was breaking the nets. So the fishermen called to some other fishermen to help them bring in the net. The net was so heavy with fish that it started to sink both ships. When Simon Peter saw this he fell at Jesus knees and asked him to leave him for he was a sinful man. Jesus told them to not be afraid for he would make them fishers of men. They also followed Jesus.

Lesson 21~Jesus is rejected at Nazareth

Mat. 4:13-16/Luke 4:31-32

 After Jesus was rejected in Nazareth. Jesus left Nazareth and went to live in Capernaum on the sea coast, next to the boarders of Zabulun & Naphtali. This fulfilled the prophecy give by Isaiah given in the book of Isaiah(Is. 8;23-9:1). While there Jesus on the sabbath and all who heard were amazed for he spoke as someone who knew what he was talking about.
